Turn pictures into PDFs, and more!
Do you ever send pictures from your phone or camera to someone, even to yourself, and find they are too big to view or print?
Do you ever try to upload pictures into a system such as StackExchange and get frustrated because the files are always too big?
PicturePDF.com is here to solve these problems.
To shrink images:
1 – Send an email with the picture(s) to shrink@PicturePDF.com
2 – Wait a few minutes to receive your file attached to an email message!
That’s it! All major image types (JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF and TIFF) are converted to JPG and shrunk. Currently only one size is supported – maximum 1,500 pixels in any dimension, maximum 1.5 Megabytes.
The email will include:
* The shrunken images. You can save them, forward them or upload them to web sites. They are your own images, just smaller.
* Links to each image online. These are limited time (1 hour), limited usage (5 downloads per image). These are ideal for systems that let you paste a link to upload an image.
If there are any problems shrinking the images, you will receive an email with the error.
You do not need to install ANY software on your computer!
The maximum for a single image is 15,000,000 bytes. Typical scanned images and smartphone camera pictures will convert without a problem. You can send an email to shrink@PicturePDF.com from your phone, tablet or computer. The shrunken images will be sent back to the same address – no special subject line or other instructions are needed – every image is converted and sent right back to you.
All emails, images and documents are removed as soon as the conversion is done, except for the shrunken images, which will be deleted automatically after 1 hour.
